Is Mobile Data Protection™ compatible with any Smartphone or PDA?
Mobile Data Protection™ is Network, Carrier and Device neutral, so most popular devices and systems are supported. New models and systems are added regularly, yet there are some exceptions and the specific functions that can be backed up and retrieved can vary by operating system. Specifically, what data can Mobile Data Protection™ back-up?
Virtually all data stored in your device including: contacts, documents, calendar, tasks, pictures, photos, graphics and videos, audio, music, ring tones, settings, applications, personal and business data. Check the Supported Devices section for specific compatibility.
How often does Mobile Data Protection™ back-up the data in my device?
When you activate Mobile Data Protection™ on your device, you choose how often the remote Over-The-Air back-up process occurs, daily, weekly, monthly.
What happens if I choose to replace or upgrade my device that has the Mobile Data Protection™ service?
You simply call our 24/7/365 Customer Support Center and advise them of the device change. All of the data from the previous device will be wiped remotely. You can then download the application and restore all of your data to your new phone.
Is my data safe and secure?
Absolutely. All of your device’s data is safely stored and archived in a completely secure facility that specializes in data storage and management with all required redundancies and security encryption protocols.
What happens if my mobile device is lost or stolen?
The process is simple. You dial the toll free Customer Support Center number and report the unit either lost or stolen. The system will initiate a complete Over-The-Air back-up and then send a command to "wipe" the current device clean of all data, rendering it useless to another user. When you subsequently find or replace the device you can restore all of your backed up data Over-The-Air, completely and securely, even if it's a different model device.
Are any additional devices or pieces of equipment required to enable and use Mobile Data Protection™?
None. Unlike many other systems, the activation, back-up and retrieval functions are all performed Over-The-Air directly between your device and the central data storage facility. No other devices or connections are ever needed.
My mobile device is several months old. Will it be compatible with Mobile Data Protection™?
We encourage you to click on our “Supported Devices” section to confirm compatibility. Additionally, your unit must be fully operational and connected to a service provider.
Is the Mobile Data Protection™ activation process complicated or very involved?
The activation process is simple and fast. Mobile Data Protection™ system will be functional in minutes after completing a few simple prompts.
Is there a limit to the number of times you can contact the Customer Support Center for a device change, back-up or wipe?
No. Change or upgrade your device as often as you like. Just advise the Customer Support Center of your new IMEI number. You can then download the application and transfer the previous device's data.
